What a night!

The Sports Awards Ceremony is back BIG TIME!

Leventhorpe's last Sports Awards Ceremony took place in 2019, pre-Covid, and this year we celebrated in style!

Our (usually) annual event celebrates the sporting achievements of Leventhorpe students who have represented the school during the school year.

Over 180 students were nominated for an award this year and we invited a special guest, England rugby player, Danny Cipriani to present the awards!

While parents were wined and dined in the Sports Hall, students enjoyed pizza and ice cream and the opportunity to meet with Danny and talk to him about his career (and take selfies, of course!)

The awards ceremony then took place in the Sports Hall which saw students taking to the stage to receive their sports colours badges, winners of the Most Improved Player and Player of the Year awards.  Finally, the prestigious shields and awards for special individuals were presented as well as the Team of the Year Award, which this year was won by the Year 9 Girls Netball team.

It was a fantastic fundraising evening and all proceeds of the night will be going towards improving the school's sports facilities for all students - new 3G astroturf pitches!
