They did it!  They stayed up all night!  They cycled for 24 hours non-stop!  They made it to 1000km - in fact, they managed 1019km!  They raised over £1,700 for Alzheimer's Society!  They are heroes!

Our sixth-formers and staff are an incredible bunch!  Their 24-hour cycle challenge finished this morning after a long and exhausting night on the bikes.  They may all be shattered and walking around like John Wayne zombies but they should be immensely proud of what they have done for a worthy cause.

Well done to everyone who took part as well as everyone who sponsored them and supported them along the way!

WHO KILLED KENNY?...(and SYDES, and BEARDWORTH, and McGEE) - The big reveal!

During form time, students watched the conclusion of our Murder Mystery when it was revealed that the 'demure' Mrs Sandeman-Hall was, in fact, the 'demonic' Mrs Sandeman-Hall!

Fed up with Mr Kenny's reluctance to fix her IT problems (or do any real work whatsoever) her plot to lace some tempting biscuits with rat poison snowballed into a serial killing spree!

Seeing Mrs Sandeman-Hall's absolute calm in the face of such cold-blooded slaughter should certainly send a chill through the next student who forgets their homework!

SUMMITING SNOWDON (or Yr Wyddfa, eh Mr Tooze?)

The second of our sponsored challenges was a mountain climb to the summit of Britain's third-highest peak by Leventhorpe staff and a dog!

Travelling to Wales' Snowdonia mountain range, a total of 14 staff members met at the foot of Mount Snowdon at 9am and began their 1,085m ascent via the Llwybr Llanberis path.

As Mr Tooze had predicted (and contrary to all weather apps) there was plenty of two things: rain and sheep!  And after a 4-hour steep and exhausting climb, the team, who had stuck together the whole way up, made it to the top!

Together, the Snowdon mountaineers raised an incredible sum of just under £2,000 for Alzheimer's Society - what an achievement!  Thank you to all those who gave so generously.
