There were plenty of World Book Day celebrations taking place across the school today, organised by our wonderful LRC (Learning Resource Centre) team!

Student were able to take part in a range of reading inspired competitions and quizzes such as Blind Date with a Book, Guess the Staff Book Worm, Guess the Character, Mission Possible Challenge, I Spy the Spy challenge and Book in a Jar.

And Year 7 were off timetable for Periods 1 and 2 for a visit from an inspiring and entertaining author Joe Craig.  Writer of the acclaimed Jimmy Coates Assassin series, Joe shared his inspirational story of success (...or did he?) followed by giving the opportunity for students to meet him at a book signing session.
