With ears still ringing from those whistles we come to the end of our Year 11 Leavers’ Day 2023.  And what a day it was!

With the traditional parade from Vantorts Park along the main road, horns and whistles blowing, with the added touch of Ioannis on the drums to march them on, our fantastic cohort of GCSE students was an impressive sight!

With embellished uniforms in proudly themed house colours, our leavers spent the morning in the decorated Sports Hall and enjoyed signing shirts and looking through their yearbooks before some motivational and emotional messages from Form tutors, Mr Sydes (Head of Year) and Mr White the Head.

The morning closed with a beautiful, very poignant performance by Vikki Pereira who sang Strange (by Celeste) accompanied by Mr White on the piano.  This was indeed a testament to everything that our school stands for and left few dry eyes in the room.

We wish our special Year 11 students all the best in their forthcoming exams and for their future.  Do your very best and make yourselves proud.
