What better way to begin Charity Week than by killing off a few teachers?

And so it begins; Charity Week 2024 - raising money for the Charities Mind and Sawbridgeworth’s Young Person’s Recreation Centre (SYPRC)

Starting the week with our annual Murder Mystery and the interrogations conducted by acting Deputy Assistant Chief Constable Beardsworth, sleuthing students can guess which member of staff committed the violent murders of Miss Vashi and Mrs Hajwanai:

But was it traumatised Mr Tooze or newbie Mr Turvill?  Was it the feindish feminist Miss Wright or sagria-loving Miss Fernandez?  Was it shifty Mrs Simpson or the melodromatic Miss Pip? And let's not forget the memorise king himself, Mr McGee...?

All will be revealed on Friday!

At lunchtime, The Price Is Right saw teachers competing to escape the inevitable pie-in-the-face by guessing the cost of everyday supermarket items (and in the event of a tie-breaker, that Rock, Paper, Scissors decider).  There was a great deal of cheering, booing, count-downs, shouts of 'higher' and 'lower' and 'pie them, pie them' from the audience!

After school, our Students vs Staff Football Match took place on the 3G pitch in front of quite a crowd!  The staff put up a commendable fight against a strong team and at half time, the score was 2-1 to the students, however, this was a young man's game and resulted in a 4-2 defeat for staff at full time.  There may be some sore legs (and a few bruises) tomorrow!
