With possibly the biggest audience seen in the hall to date, this year's Performing Arts Winter Showcase of musical and theatrical talent rocked the school with festive hits, cheer, and laughter!

With comperes Will and Lilia hosting the evening with some pretty cheesey Christmas jokes, the evening of music and drama began with a set from the Intermediate Function Band, 'DysFUNKtional', followed by scenes from Matilda the musical performed by the Years 7 & 8 Drama Club.

With music from student bands 'Faultline' and ' Face for Radio' as well as duets by Violet and Evie, Eddie and Finlay and a Trio of Guy, Eddie and Adam there was a Christmas hit for everyone!  A highlight of the evening was our amazing school choir, LevSingers, who performed “Do You Hear What I Hear”,  “Hold Back The River” and “Glory, Glory!” to an audience in awe.

The second half was opened by “The FUNKlets” Junior Function Band and closed by our  Senior Function Band, “Who’d Have FUNK It” with a finalé with everyone on stage with “You’re Christmas To Me”.

It was plain to see that our musical maestro, Mr Sarjeant, Head of the Performing Arts Department has most certainly put the FUNK into Leventhorpe functions in more ways than one!
