In our special 60th Anniversary Event, we were treated to some special Alumni guests who graced the LevFest stage this year!

The weather was perfect - hot, but with a breeze to keep us slightly cooler - and students looked amazing in their new 60th Anniversary House T Shirts!

Throughout the day's sporting and athletics events, the stage hosted various musical performances, dance routines and our very own DJ Pops (Year 10 student, Lola Manuel) to keep the crowds entertained.

It was wonderful to see so many parents, carers, families and supporters on the field, cheering on the students as they took part in track and field events.  This year saw the addition of Giant Jenga and Petanque games which were a huge hit!

All those who took part in sports events should be congratulated for their commitment in representing their House but the following students set new school records and thus deserve a special mention:

Cara Mitchinson - Year 8 Girls 300m - 51.34 seconds

Cutforth Year 12 Girls Relay Team - 56 seconds

Faryl Wright - Year 12 Girls Javelin - 21.87m 

Overall, the winners of this year's LevFest, with the most Housepoints on the day, was LAWRENCE house who also won the House Merit shield for the most housepoints gained during this academic year.

LevFest is one of the days that really sums up Leventhorpe - it is the only day of the year when every single person, staff and students, come together to take part in a collective event.  A group of our SEN students did an incredible job of helping to set up the day before and our Prefect and committee teams worked together to set up and run stalls and games.

And as the sports day came to a close, we made way for Leventhorpe's musical talent to take to the stage and bring the true festival vibe to the day.  Our funciton bands performed alongside a number of student bands both past and present with special returning guest alumni 'Lock In' and 'Face for Radio'.   It was a wonderful showcase of the skills and evident enjoyment that playing music at our school brings to students past and present.

And it was another 'last' for Mr White who was the founding father of LevFest, back when it began, along with his Headship, in 2018.

So we pay hommage to Mr White, without whom, LevFest may never had begun.
