For our Sports Awards Celebration Event this year, we welcomed netball star and guest speaker Serena Guthrie MBE to the stage to present our students' with their awards!

The sports hall was packed with over 300 parents and carers who enjoyed a charcuterie board and brownies at their tables whilst Serena met with the students before her Q&A session.  And then the main awards ceremony took place with students taking to the stage to collect their sports colours and Player of the Year awards. There was an interlude for the raffle and a game of 'Higher of Lower' between the two halves of the ceremony which concluded with the special awards as follows:

Despite the heat, the evening was a wonderful end to the year.  To see so many talented sports people receiving recognition for their determination and hard work is always a joyful experience.  And we look forward to watching our students continue in their sporting adventures as they continue on their journeys.

At the end of the evening, Mr White gave thanks to all of the staff, students and parents for their continued support of sporting at Leventhorpe and the audience showed their respect and gratiuted for Mr White's service to the school with a standing ovation.
