The Leventhorpe Book Awards 2022 shortlist is revealed!

Over the next 12 weeks, a group of Year 7 students from Leventhorpe will join students from other surrounding schools who will endeavour to read a shortlist of six books, selected from some of the best reads from 2021. 

Every fortnight, the Book Awards Group will meet in the LRC after school where they will discuss their reading experiences in small groups and share their views and opinions.

Today, at the launch, the book shortlist was be revealed!  At the end of the reading period in March, the LRC will be running a discussion afternoon to review the shortlist of books they have read and vote for their favourite novel.  Votes will counted and we will then announce the winner of Leventhorpe Book Award 2021.  Other reading groups from schools in the area will either run their own discussion afternoon and feedback their votes to the LRC for counting or, covid permitting, will join us at Leventhorpe for the afternoon discussion and vote.
